Mobile App - User Guide
Starllion Cloud provides a mobile application that works alongside the Video Portal, specifically designed for iOS devices. This mobile app is exclusively available to customers and their authorized users, including admins and guards, while integrators do not have access, as they are not permitted to view camera video feeds directly. If an integrator attempts to log into the mobile app, a message will appear indicating that access to the app's interface is restricted.
To download the Starllion Cloud iOS app, search for "Starllion" on the App Store. After installation, the app will appear on the device with the AVYCON logo. Users can log in using the same credentials used for the Video Portal. The login screen is illustrated in the provided screenshot.
Events Menu
After logging in, users are directed to the Events menu, which displays recent events. The menu is located at the bottom of the screen, offering access to different sections: Events, Cameras, Library, and Layout. These tabs allow users to navigate between various functionalities such as viewing events, managing cameras, accessing saved clips, and configuring layout settings.
When a clip thumbnail is selected, playback begins in the upper portion of the screen. The Filter menu, accessed through a popup window, enables users to refine event searches based on camera, object type, and color.
Camera Menu
Selecting the Cameras tab reveals a list of available cameras. The Active tab shows all currently active cameras, while the OFFLINE tab displays cameras that are not currently online.
By tapping on a camera's thumbnail, the camera view appears on the screen. If the device is rotated to landscape mode, and auto-rotate is enabled, the camera view will expand to full-screen.
In portrait mode, the camera timeline, including thumbnails, is visible. Tapping once on the camera brings up a tool menu, allowing options to resize the view, pause or unpause the video, control PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom), or mute/unmute the camera.
Library Menu
The Library section allows users to access all saved clips and time-lapses from their cameras. To share a clip, tap the three dots in the upper-right corner of the clip menu, where options to share the clip will appear.
Layout Menu
To view multiple cameras on a single screen, users can select the Layout option. This displays all saved layouts, which must first be created through the web-based portal. By selecting a layout, users can access and view the layouts they’ve previously saved.
PTZ Controls
For cameras equipped with PTZ functionality, an additional PTZ button will appear on the camera toolbar after selecting the video stream. Ensure the stream is in Live mode, then tap the PTZ button to access controls.
Instead of the timeline/events, the PTZ controls will occupy that section of the screen. Use the magnifying glass icons to zoom in and out, and the directional arrows to pan across the camera’s view. Adjust the panning speed with a slider: move left for slower speed and right for faster speed.
To return the PTZ camera to its default position, tap the home icon in the center of the directional buttons. To set a new home position, tap Set As Home.
Selecting Dismiss will close the PTZ controls and return to the timeline/events view.
PTZ controls can also be used in portrait mode, with a similar set of controls appearing on the right side of the screen.
