Fire and smoke detection are additional analytical modules offered as separate paid add-ons. The fire detection add-on is designed to identify relatively large fires. It is not suitable for detecting small sources of fire, such as cigarettes, matches, or candles. Fires must cover at least 4%–5% of the image area to be detected. Below is an example of a smaller-sized fire that can be detected: Smoke detection is effective for detecting opaque smoke. Smoke from cigarettes or vaping devices typically does not have the opacity needed for detection.
